چکیده
A novel class of genetically encoded fluorescent sensors for detecting opioid molecules is reported by Kayla E. Kroning and Wenjing Wang in their Research Article on page 13358. These are called SPOTIT (single-chain protein-based transmission indicator tool). Upon opioids, activated generates a persistent green fluorescence mark image analysis. will potentially be useful high-throughput screening opioids cell cultures cellular resolution detection vivo.

MAC it happen : Presented is a study of the synergistic structuredirecting effect of metal–amine complexes (MACs) with different chelating polyamine ligands and imidazolium-based ionic liquid (IL) cations. For the first time, a layered selenidostannate with an asymmetric eight-membered ring, an organic-decorated layered selenidostannate, and a 3D selenidostannate with both the MAC and IL cation...
متن کاملCover Picture: Detection of mRNA in Mammalian Cells with a Split Ribozyme Reporter (ChemBioChem 6/2006)
The cover picture shows a split RNA reporter strategy for detecting target mRNA in mammalian cells. A tetrahymena group I intron ribozyme reporter is split into two halves, each of which carries a part of the coding sequence of the reporter mRNA, a fragment of the ribozyme, and an antisense sequence complementary to a target mRNA. Both halves bind with the target mRNA and are assembled into an ...
متن کاملAutomated detection and quantification of single RNAs at cellular resolution in zebrafish embryos.
Analysis of differential gene expression is crucial for the study of cell fate and behavior during embryonic development. However, automated methods for the sensitive detection and quantification of RNAs at cellular resolution in embryos are lacking. With the advent of single-molecule fluorescence in situ hybridization (smFISH), gene expression can be analyzed at single-molecule resolution. How...
متن کاملCellular detection of multiple antigens at single cell resolution using antibodies generated from the same species.
Biology at a cellular level comes with a great amount of heterogeneity. It is now evident that even clonally propagated cells in an in vitro population do not express the same set of cellular epitopes. The vascular endothelial as well as blood cells show a very high degree of heterogeneity in expression of specific proteins. Although several methods exist for identification of genome or transcr...
